Kaweco Eyedropper 1910 Limited Edition Fountain Pen

For Kaweco's Eyedropper 1910 fountain pen, the name "Eyedropper" describes the elegant vintage style and historical origins of the pen, rather than its mechanism. Around 1910, fountain pens were slim and refilled by pouring ink directly into the barrel using a pipette or "eyedropper". Kaweco's modern Eyedropper 1910 pen borrows the aesthetic design of these traditional pens while leaving behind the eyedropper mechanism. Its slim body made of noble black hard rubber (ebonite) is engraved with a fine guilloche pattern, and the nib is 14-carat gold. This classic look is accompanied by a modern mechanism—the pen accepts ink cartridges and converters.

The pen should not be converted to an eyedropper pen.

This is a limited-edition pen, and each pen is engraved with a serial number. The number indicates a total of 850 pieces, but the actual quantity produced was only approximately 800 pieces.

The pen comes in an exclusive book-shaped box printed with vintage pen-centric Kaweco motifs from the 1910s. Appropriately, many of the illustrations depict eyedropper pens. The deep box is stocked full of supplies for your pen. There are 6 packs of Kaweco ink cartridges (royal blue, black, red, sepia, green, blue, and black), each pack containing 6 cartridges. An additional blue cartridge is included inside the pen. The set also includes a black genuine leather pouch that safely stows your pen for carrying or storage.
